Our customers spoke and we listened! One of the most common pain points for our in-store shoppers was trying to find an item to add to their cart. Maybe they were in a hurry, maybe they sent their significant other to the store —either way, not being able to locate a product quickly was a major setback for many of our customers. So, Digital did what we do best, we found a fix!
The H-E-B Digital Team wanted a solution that was able to take advantage of two things customers already had in the palm of their hand, a phone and the My H-E-B App. After several months and collaboration across the business, H-E-B Digital updated the My H-E-B App to show product locations on a store map in both iOS and Android. After clicking the “View Store Map” button, customers see an indicator that shows a product’s exact location on a map of their store, instead of just the Aisle/Text description we showed them previously. This update solves one of our customers’ biggest pain points: finding the products they want in our highly tailored and ever-evolving stores.
While we want to make shopping in-store as seamless as possible for our customers, we’re also always looking to improve the shopping experience for our Curbside Personal Shoppers — especially as more and more and more customers move to shopping for their groceries online. That’s why this feature is also available on the FAST app, which is the software our Personal Shoppers use to pick orders. It helps them find the products they need with a tap of a button to help fill orders quickly and get our customers headed on with their day.
So, check out the new maps feature — which is available for both Android and iOS — share it with your friends and family and let us know how we’re doing with the feedback question at the end. We are constantly striving to give our customers the same immersive shopping experience, whether they’re in-store or online.
Every day, Digital is working to make a difference in the lives of our Partners and customers – stay tuned as we continue rolling out new tools that contribute to this mission and support our culture of “my H-E-B.”
