Acing the
Digital Interview
To protect the health of our fellow Texans, we’ll get to know you better through the use of some amazing digital interviewing tools, including HireVue – an OnDemand video interview that you can take at your convenience; and Zoom – a live, virtual interview with an H-E-B Partner. Below are tips from the Corporate Recruiting team, to help you ace your digital interviews!
Acing your Digital Interview
1
Dress as you would for an in-person interview and position yourself in a well-lit, quiet, clean space. Ensure there will be no distractions behind you.
2
Plan ahead – you may need to download an app if using a mobile device. Test your technology beforehand. See below for more information on digital interview technologies H-E-B uses.
3
Research H-E-B and the people with whom you are interviewing. Knowing a little bit about us can help you make a memorable connection during the interview.
4
Review the job description prior to your interview. Share specific examples on how your experience directly relates to the job for which you are interviewing. Avoid using generalities and hypotheticals.
5
Be yourself! We value authenticity at H-E-B and want to get to know you.
