H-E-B Digital’s Level Up Program celebrates one year anniversary and looks toward the future

Celebrations are in order for the 1st anniversary of H-E-B Digital’s Level Up program.

Level Up is a cohort-based onboarding experience available to new H-E-B Digital recruits who are Associate Level and Level 1 Digital Hires. The purpose of the program is to help our newly hired talent get acclimated to H-E-B through networking, training, volunteer opportunities, Tech Talks, and additional hands-on experiences. We believe Level Up will help us strengthen our world-class Digital teams from the start, so we can cultivate strong people leaders and build tomorrow’s tech.

Level Up is made up of four main components: Structured Onboarding Plan, Multiple Virtual and In-Person Sessions, Assigned Onboarding Buddy, and Ongoing Development. The in-person sessions have been a huge hit and include many of our current Digital Partners. During one of the sessions, Andie Young, a Product Manager, gave a talk about her journey at H-E-B, “I really loved my time with our Partners from Level Up and enjoyed sharing my career journey within H-E-B. I feel lucky that I found a company that supports me in learning new things and even pivoting in my career. I want Partners to know how to find opportunities they are passionate about too.”

This immersive onboarding experience is available to anyone hired into an Associate Level, Level I, or comparable role within the H-E-B’s Digital organization. If you fit these criteria upon being hired, you’ll automatically be enrolled in Level Up. This is a unique and robust development program that makes starting at H-E-B and transitioning into new positions easier and more seamless. Since Level Up started, H-E-B has onboarded 105 new Partners since its launch in September 2021.  This has provided growth opportunities for our internal Digital Partners and opportunities in general for candidates in the community looking to start their digital careers.
