Role Call: Supply Chain Analyst at H-E-B Digital

March 07 2025

What does a tech job at Texas’ favorite grocery store look like? We went behind-the-scenes with three H-E-B employees to see how they spend their days.

Jay Stewart, Senior Supply Chain Analyst

Where are you from?

I grew up in Round Rock, TX.

How did you end up as a Supply Chain Analyst at H-E-B? Did you study this field in school?

I have a degree in economics from Texas A&M. I’ve worked in corporate retail my entire career—previously I was Business Analyst at JCPenney in Plano, TX. I joined H-E-B in 2015, initially in eCommerce. My role on the Digital Fulfillment team has grown and evolved significantly. Initially, I was working to forecast and replenish inventory for HEB.com’s ship-to-home business, but when our team started diving deeper into supply chain related work with no designated supply chain analyst, I assumed the responsibilities—and the rest is history!
